The paper notes that the current federal state educational standards require a university to maintain a full-fledged electronic information and educational environment regardless of the actual use of distance learning technologies and e-learning. Such an environment must provide students with individual and unrestricted access to electronic library systems and educational resources from any location with Internet access. Using the example of Lobachevsky State University of Nizhny Novgorod, the article presents the structure of the electronic information and educational environment, including the official website, Internet portal, electronic library system, distance learning platform, and university management systems. It is concluded that integration of all participants into a unified information space makes it possible to improve the quality and efficiency of education and to provide modern technological support for the educational process.
