1. Cookies we use
- Session cookies (required) — sign-in to the user account, the submission form, and other authenticated actions. Deleted when the browser is closed.
- Preference cookies — remember the chosen interface language (ru/en) and theme (light/dark). Lifetime: up to 1 year.

2. Data collected
The web-server access logs (Apache/Nginx) automatically record the IP address, browser User-Agent, and the URL of the requested page — this is standard system-administration practice. Server logs are retained for no more than 30 days. No other visitor identifiers, marketing data, or cross-site behavioral data are collected.
When you register or submit a manuscript, you voluntarily provide identifying information (name, e-mail, affiliation, etc.). Processing of that information is governed by the separate consent obtained at registration.
3. Purposes
- operating the site and the user account;
- handling manuscript submissions and interaction with authors and reviewers;
- protection against automated attacks and abuse;
- basic, de-identified traffic statistics.
4. Legal basis
Personal data are processed on the basis of Art. 6 § 1 (5) of Federal Law No. 152-FZ of 27 July 2006 — processing is necessary for the performance of an agreement to which the data subject is a party (the public offer for the use of the journal's services), and on other grounds set out in §§ 1-7 of that Article where applicable.
5. Third parties
Cookies are stored solely in the user's browser. The contents of cookies and of the server logs are not shared with third parties except where directly required by Russian law.
6. Retention
Session cookies — until the session ends. Preference and consent cookies — no more than 1 year from the moment they are set. Server logs — no more than 30 days.
7. Your rights and how to control cookies
You may disable or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time; this may limit functionality (for example, prevent you from signing in). To request access to, correction of, blocking of, or deletion of personal data, please contact the editorial team via the Contact page.
