Cookie Policy

This Policy explains which cookies, similar technologies, and related technical data are processed by the website of the scientific journal “Professionalitet” when you visit it. The Policy is prepared in accordance with Federal Law No. 152-FZ of 27 July 2006 “On Personal Data” of the Russian Federation.

1. In short

2. Cookies and storage used

2.1. Strictly necessary (always set)

2.2. Protection against automated requests (pages with forms)

The sign-in, registration, and password-recovery pages use Yandex SmartCaptcha (Yandex LLC, Russian Federation). It loads a script from smartcaptcha.yandexcloud.net, may store technical identifiers needed to verify that a request comes from a human, and processes the IP address and browser parameters. This check is strictly necessary and does not depend on analytics consent: without it forms cannot be submitted. Purpose: protection against password guessing and bulk automated registration.

2.3. Analytics (only with your consent)

Pressing “Accept” loads the Yandex.Metrica counter No. 109691676 (Yandex LLC, Russian Federation). It loads a script from mc.yandex.ru and sets its own cookies, including _ym_uid (de-identified browser identifier, up to 1 year), _ym_d (date of first visit, up to 1 year), _ym_isad (ad-blocker indicator, up to 2 days), _ym_hostIndex, and other technical session cookies. Data processed: de-identified browser identifier, IP address, User-Agent, URLs of the pages viewed, referrer, screen resolution, click data (click map), and outbound link clicks.

Counter configuration on this site: click map, link tracking, and accurate bounce rate are enabled; Webvisor (session recording) is disabled; e-commerce tracking is not used — the journal is free of charge and no payments are accepted on the site.

Service terms: Yandex.Metrica Terms of Use. Processing on the Yandex side: Yandex Privacy Policy.

2.4. What this site does not do

No advertising or targeting cookies, no profiling, no automated decision-making producing legal effects, and no transfer of data to advertising networks.

3. Data recorded on the server

The web-server access logs (nginx) automatically record the IP address, browser User-Agent, date, time, and the URL of the requested page — standard system-administration practice needed to keep the site operational and secure. Server logs are retained for no more than 30 days. The OJS platform additionally keeps de-identified statistics of article views and downloads.

When you register or submit a manuscript, you voluntarily provide identifying information (name, e-mail, affiliation, etc.). Processing of that information is governed by the separate consent obtained at registration.

4. Purposes

5. Legal bases

6. Third parties

Necessary and preference data are stored solely in the user’s browser and are not shared. Where you consent to analytics, the data listed in section 2.3 is transferred to Yandex LLC acting on the editorial team’s instructions; the service’s servers are located in the Russian Federation. When the SmartCaptcha check runs, the data listed in section 2.2 is transferred to Yandex LLC. No data is shared with any other third party except where directly required by Russian law.

7. Retention

8. Withdrawing consent and controlling cookies
